About Accounting – CAI professional development

This PD System has been designed for members of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) who are committed to maintaining their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Chartered Accountants Ireland offers members several approaches to meeting their CPD obligations, including input-based, output-based and combination approaches. This PD System has been configured around the input-based approach, providing planning targets that align with annual CPD hours while taking advantage of PD able's KPI dashboards and reporting features. Members following the output-based or combination approaches can also use this system to plan, record and reflect on their professional development.

To help you maintain a balanced programme of learning, activities can be assigned to Technical Practice, Ethics and Professional / Business Skills. Dashboard reporting provides a clear overview of your progress throughout the reporting period, while planning tools, reminders, evidence management and reflections help you maintain a comprehensive record of your Continuing Professional Development.
