This PD System has been designed for members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) who are committed to maintaining their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
ICAS adopts a principles-based approach to CPD, recognising that every member's learning requirements are different depending on their role, responsibilities and career aspirations. Rather than prescribing minimum annual CPD hours, members are expected to undertake the learning necessary to maintain and enhance their professional competence.
To help you plan your Continuing Professional Development and make full use of PD able's dashboard and KPI features, this system includes suggested annual planning targets across three key professional areas. These targets are provided by PD able as a planning guide only and are not mandatory ICAS requirements. You should complete the amount and type of CPD that best supports your own professional responsibilities and development objectives.
Activities can be assigned to Technical Practice, Ethics or Professional / Business Skills, providing a clear overview of where your learning is focused throughout the reporting period. Planning tools, reminders, evidence management and reporting features help you maintain a comprehensive record of your professional development while supporting your ongoing career growth.
