About Suncoast Christian College PD professional development

The Suncoast Christian College's Continuing Professional Development System has been carefully structured to suit professionals that practice teaching at their school in Australia.

This PD System is a powerful tool that equips Teachers with a simple pathway to compliance within the framework. Equally important, it is also a system that propagates professionalism and career development.

A dashboard presents a series of simple charts, data tables and KPI's that summarise all the detailed records. This gives clear direction on progress towards targets, plus it highlights where energy has been spent and where the gaps are. Behind is a rich environment where completion of PD activities can be recorded, professional learning plans (PDPs) can be run, resources can be found along with access to a host of supporting tools.

SYSTEM SUMMARY

It is important for Teachers in Australia to maintain the quality and expertise of the profession and it is for this reason that all professionals in the industry are required to undertake continuing professional development. These are described as:

  • A minimum of 20 PD hours must be completed in each year.

This system will help you track against the standards and highlight gaps where energy needs to be applied.
