About Teaching - Australia - QLD professional development

The Teaching Australia Queensland Professional Development (CPD) System has been carefully structured to suit this echelon of registered Teachers in Australia in Queensland.

This CPD System is a powerful tool that equips teachers with a simple pathway to compliance within the framework. Equally important, it is also a system that propagates professionalism and career development.

A dashboard presents a series of simple charts, data tables and KPI's that summarise all the detailed records. This gives clear direction on progress towards targets, plus it highlights where energy has been spent and where the gaps are. Behind is a rich environment where completion of CPD activities can be recorded, professional learning plans (PDPs) can be run, resources can be found along with access to a host of supporting tools.

SYSTEM SUMMARY

The National Law requires all registered teachers to renew their registration with their local licencing authority within their state. Each licensing authority manages the registration and renewal process each with their own set of requirements.

The main PD requirement for registered teachers practicing in Queensland is:

  • CPD - a minimum of 20 hours annually (100 hours over your 5 year cohort)

Use this CPD system to record and track activities and export a transcript easily to make maintenance of your registration that much easier.

The family of PD Systems for teachers in Australia

There are eight separate systems offered within PD able, each built differently to suit specific professional needs. A teacher moving between these PD systems can easily carry existing history forward, in addition to retaining that history within the original system.

  • Queensland (QLD) selected
  • Western Australia (WA)
  • South Australia (SA)
  • Tasmania (TAS)
