About Teaching - Australia - SA professional development

The Teaching Australia SA PL System is purpose-built to support teachers in South Australia as they work to maintain their registration at the Proficient level. Developed to align with the requirements of the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB SA), this system provides an organised and flexible space to manage your professional learning.

It goes beyond record-keeping — offering structure, clarity, and tools to help you stay compliant, focused, and forward-thinking in your development. With this platform, you can plan and track your PL, reflect on your growth, and prepare for renewal with confidence.
The visual dashboard offers clear insights into your progress, using summary tables, KPIs, and graphs to highlight your learning efforts and any areas needing attention. Behind this front-end view is a complete environment where you can log PL activities, manage Professional Learning Plans (PLPs), store resources, and access additional tools to support your practice.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

In South Australia, the Teachers Registration Board (TRB SA) oversees teacher registration and renewal. Registered teachers must undertake ongoing professional learning that aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
The PL requirement for Proficient Teachers in SA is:

  • 60 hours of professional learning over a 3-year term, relevant to teaching practice and student outcomes.

The Teaching AU SA system is designed to support this cycle. It provides a centralised space to document activities, track progress against the standard, and generate ready-to-submit records for your renewal process.

The Teaching AU PL System Family

The Teaching Australia platform offers state-specific PL systems, each tailored to meet the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements of that jurisdiction. While the systems are locally adapted, they all work within a shared structure that allows for mobility and consistency.
Available systems include:

Teachers can transition between systems as needed, with the option to carry forward their full PD history while maintaining access to their original records.

IN SUMMARY

The Teaching Australia SA PL System offers a professional, reliable way to meet your TRB SA obligations while supporting a deeper commitment to your craft. It’s more than a logbook — it’s a complete platform to manage, reflect on, and grow your teaching practice throughout your career.
